About the author
Gus St. Anthony Bifani has been a commercial cartoonist, caricature artist and illustrator for more than forty years. He became a "history buff" after moving to Florida from New York in 1991.
Along with writing and illustrating graphic features about the fabulous history of the Sunshine State, Gus also served on the Board of Directors for M.O.T.I., The Museum Of The Islands on Pine Island in Lee County and does lectures on the colorful pirate stories and legends that abound in the area.
Today, he lives with his wife, Cathy, in Hollywood and when not at the drawing board, he enjoys kayaking the lakes, rivers and coastal inlets where the historicity of this fantastic state still seems to waft from its waters and echo from its land.
